Awesome game with crazy disturbing story! I had a great time playing it and here's my take on the whole thing! (I'm invisible btw on the thumbnail and in video)
9-/10 VERY NICE JOB!!! This game used the fnaf4 mechanic to make a complete game adding his own mechanics, the gameplay is very fun and exciting, i really the idea of putting various defensive objects to prevent the incombing death.
Although i might suggest to improve the movements in the "GameKid" bit, it feels overly wanky, but still its enjoyable.
TLDR This game starts out slow but def ramps up. I also thought the gb sections were lame but having the creature chase you later made it better. Def felt like fnaf at the end. DOWNLOAD AND PLAY THIS GAME.
Ok early while playing the game I thought to myself this is kind of lame and bored not going to lie. There was way too much exposition for a game I didn't even know if I was going to playthrough or not but I did stick with it. I will say the Expo is broken up with the game teaching you how to play (but it never tells you what to do with the barricades or bear traps or even the cans). Then it came to the gb section which was an utter snore, still I wasn't sure if I was going to continue but I did.
It wasn't until the game was almost over did it actually become fun and a bit challenging. The fnaf machanics really started to shine through during the last chase, and I really had to get into that flow state to complete it. Even the last gb sections was a bit tense because of the speed of the creature.
Now I know I talked badly about the beginning, and I didn't mention the story at all and to answer the story one, I just didn't care about it even a little. It did get a bit interesting here and there like how the gb was a reflection of our car irl, or the visage of Kaleb's parents to him, or even this Call from the Cave. The draw is the last 2 chases, it's worth is completely for those last 2 chases.
This game isn't too bad and I would def recommend if you had 30 - 45mins you could burn. Play it all the way through and trust me you will consider playing the hard mode like I am right now.
Now this is how you make a indie game!! This was freaking awesome. The mechanics and just the whole though that went into this was just so good. Loved it.
These itch.io comment sections are sad af honestly. I post my videos and I leave reviews here on the game store gamepages, I'm actually working on my written review right now so I came by to scroll to see what other people were saying and man it's just a video dump trash ground. People barely even type anything, and alot of it is so half arsed that they miss spell 3 letter words. I wish we could clean this mentality up a little on itch.io. I went to school for game dev but I never went through with it so I play and review these games to stay connect with this community. Sad really everything is about monetization so much that nothing as soul anymore.
Anyway, I will be posting my VIDEO to right after I finish eating breakfast.
This was an amazing game! I cannot wait to see more! in my personal opinion, the game is nearly flawless! I loved the intensity of the gameplay loop, the legit spookiness and a top tier story ALREADY!!
Had a great time playing this game. I hate being stationary in games since it scares me so much but the mechanics and the story really kept me hooked in :)
